Water Biking

Noel had a groupon for water bikes down at Granville Island, so he took me before work on Saturday morning. I was under the impression that they would be like the pedal boats in Deer Lake Park, but these were completely different!  It was great being in the water on a hot, sunny morning.

Food and Fireworks

Lunch: potatoes, zucchini, turkey-chicken sausage, and onions.

Dinner: Hotdog with avocado, onions, and potato chips. Correction: VEGGIE dog. Noel likes to trick me into eating veggie meat.

After dinner: B52 shots, after two glasses of wine at dinner. I just realized I have gone from very rarely drinking (maybe once every few months) into drinking three times a week! I think it's because of the people I've been hanging out with more recently. I have to say that my tolerance is building up quite nicely though!

Fireworks: at Vanier Park. It is so nice not having to deal with the hassle of going downtown. Instead I I took a leisurely 15 minute stroll down to the park and plopped myself down on the grass!

After fireworks: walking through Granville Island

Granville Island

I've been going to Granville Island a lot recently (today I went after a quick lunch at Meat & Bread - the guy working there was about to introduce himself when he recognized me and said, "Oh you've been here before!" I swear I don't go there that often though...)

I looked at some yacht prices and I was sorry to see that they were all over my budget. I just can't afford a 10 million dollar yacht. What a disappointment.

226: GRANVILLE ISLAND

Ferry dock, Burrard Bridge, Aquabus, 9pm, dusk.
We had to wait half an hour for the bus - I amused myself by panning everything and everyone who came past me.

53: UNDER THE BRIDGE

Graffiti artwork under the Granville Street Bridge.

I went to Granville Island with Giosy to catch a francophone concert. We heard loud drumming as we approached the stage, and we saw the strangest procession when we arrived:

Umm, what was this?!?!

31: CHASING LIONS AND GEESE

I've been meaning to take some long exposure night time shots for some time now but have yet to invest in a tripod. However, thanks to Allen and his tripod connections, I got to take some of the Lions Gate Bridge tonight. It's so pretty and always reminds me of Christmas because of the red and green lights.

And here is a goose that I chased around Granville Island. I think I scared it, because it relieved itself in front of me shortly after.
