It's the time of year when the sidewalks and streets are covered with cherry blossoms. I love it when the wind swirls the petals around and it looks like it is raining pink.

123: A MISHMASH
A few more random pictures from yesterday. It was Mother's Day so I took my family out to brunch at Trattoria. That's my caprese salad - tomatoes, basil, and a big ball of bufala mozzarella.
Downtown:
Then my brother took us out to dinner at the Fish House in Stanley Park. I ordered the Sticky Chili Sablefish (pan roasted sablefish, sweet soy and chili glaze, crispy lemon risotto cake). I'm not usually a big fan of fish dishes, but this one was soooooo delicious. Every bite was such a delight.

117: ZOLA JESUS
Zola Jesus: She is such an odd one. Russian American singer/songwriter Nika Danilova picked this stage name, not because she sings religious songs, but because she wanted to alienate her peers by naming herself after both Jesus Christ and French writer Emile Zola. Her music is hard to define - her voice is very powerful (she was trained in opera when she was younger) and her songs have goth elements. If I had to describe her live show in one word, I would call her ferocious. She was striding up and down that stage as if she really owned it. Her fan base was pretty interesting as well - I kept getting hit on the head by dancing guys dressed in pleather as I was taking pictures.

116: BOBO
I went to Campagnolo for some pizza (salsiccia) and pasta (tagliatelle)! I love this restaurant.
