Ladytron @ Commodore
I've got to say, I was super excited to go to the Ladytron concert because I was anticipating a high energy show seeing as how they make electro-pop music. I was stoked because I was shooting the concert and got to take a +1 this time. I ended up being really disappointed - I didn't find them to be very engaging performers (didn't move around very much) and I was just...bored. It didn't help that I was only allowed to do photos for the first three songs, and the first two had such bad lighting that it was almost pitch black! That didn't leave me very much time when the lights finally came on for the third song.

Karkwa @ The Biltmore
Francophone band from Montreal who won the 2010 Polaris Prize (this year's winner was Arcade Fire). They sang all in French...I understood nothing!

203: RIVER SUNRISE
While I was in Kamloops I woke up everyday at 6:30am, which never happens at home. I guess that is what happens when there is nothing to do at night and I end up going to bed early! What's great about my hotel is that it is right downtown and is close to the river, so I get to go on an early morning run along the water. It's beautiful when the sun is rising.

200: EAGLE BLUFFS
Hiking <3
We tried this hike on July 1, but it was all covered in snow. Thankfully this time it was completely clear and we were able to go the whole way. The first part of the hike is quite steep, since basically you are climbing Cypress from the bottom of the chair lift to the top. Once you get past that part, the trail becomes pretty easy. Unfortunately I think this is going to be my last hike of the year.

196: GARY
I went out with my friend Gary to do a photo shoot of him in Gastown. He took me to a sketchy area..notice the (bloody) syringe in the corner of the above photo!
