Bad lighting! I talked to the band afterwards and they told me that they weren't given any options on what kind of lighting to use and that if I had told them beforehand, they would have requested better lighting. It was an interesting night. Phoebe is friends with the band since she translated for them in the summer at a music festival in Japan. She even got a shout out during the show. And I somehow ended up driving the guitarist and bassist around after the show...it was pretty random.
