I was walking home from work, and I saw this tree by a streetlamp (the light coming from the upper right corner). Then I edited it by moving the color towards blue and magenta, and voila I got a purplish background (originally it was greyish blue fading into yellow).
Rae I will take your suggestion into consideration for future photos. We will see how well you know this city!
